I wasnt consistent enough. I tried today the first time in the race my g25 shifter instead of the act labs. Therefore i missed a few gears while downshifting which brought me into trouble for the next corner. But it has great potential though.
I didnt thought that wolfgang would pit as well.
Really frustrating that my race ended like this. I woldnt have reached wolfgang anyway, bnut P2 would be very nice for the points.

Stu was lightning fast with the eagle again. Really a shame that he dropped out. Same goes for Paul.

unfortunately I shifted to fast once at the begining of s/f while beeeing hunted by incredible fast Stu , so my engine exploded. My mistake , hope I will do better at Österreichring with a winged BRM .

I like the way Stu handles a car , but this was too much risk at a much too early part of the race.
Many of us are familiar with shorter races where You have to push every second. The conception of the RSL races is another.
Holding high speeds over long distances without overpushing was the task of real drivers to stay alive and finish races.
Having a strategie, looking for the opponents abilities around the circuit and passing in the right moment with the chance that both stay on the track is the real deal.
We had so many races over 60% GP length that where very exciting and drivers had a chance to come back into the points even if they made mistakes. This wouldn't be possible in shorter races.
Think about Clark at Monza 1967 ...
But with the new 66 Mod there is very much to learn for us.
I also had a silly accident with Jeroen at Hockenheim and this had a lot to do with the new slipstream and other things I couldn't manage.
I hope the concept of our races will force all drivers to a smoother racing strategy. It will also lead to very fast and exciting races. Look at GPL Rank and the tracks we raced in the past. Normally there are more than one or two drivers of us among the fastest 10 drivers worldwide.
Jeroen's fastest race lap tonight was 1:40,456min, fastest race lap so far for '66 cars worldwide (in a 2 Ltr car !!!). And I had a 1:40,3xx in Monday's practice, what is the current WR.


This is a fast league, but I would like to ask everyone to take part in our races with a cool attitude.

And I'm sure we will have great races and from race to race more drivers with extraordinary driving skills.

My strategy was to start with full tank and take it easy to finish the race. I knew about the bad Cooper reliability, but I neverthless managed to blew my engine without pushing hard (21 laps to go and best lap 1:43 or so), so it's really bad...

After all, the Cooper T81 is not a good choice for long races with multiple gearing changes, so i'll make only some tracks like Reims and Monza. It is very frustrating to blow an engine after taking care during one hour...

I'm really sorry Paul :( i dont really know what happened i just completely forgot to brake early (paying to much attention to my mirrors i think) i tried to minimise the risk of hitting anyone once i realised i was never going to stop in time but it didn't work to well.

Anyway after that i drove round for a while and saw i think Paul and Remy have a collision a few laps later? then i was pretty much alone for the remaining time and simply got bored being 30 seconds away from the leaders and dropping almost a second a lap and pulling away from whoever was behind and so i retired with just under half the race left. i'm looking forward to racing some proper tracks thata re coming up cause this one was really really boring imo. nowonder none of the real drivers who raced there liked it.
